Aero India 2023: All You Need To Know About Asia’s Biggest Air Show

Aero India 2023 is back!

The biennial airshow, termed as Asia’s Biggest Air Show, will be held at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

This year’s theme is ‘The Runway to a Billion Opportunities.’

When is the Aero India 2023 show?

The Aero India 2023 air show and aviation exhibition have been announced by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to be held between February 13 – 17, 2023.

Of the 5 days, the 16th and 17th are meant specifically for the public.

This will be the 14th edition of Aero India.

Bangalore has hosted Aero India at the Yelahanka Air Force Station since 1996.

The 14th edition is scheduled for February 13th to 17th.

Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi will inaugurate the program.

731 exhibitors across India and other countries are expected to participate in Aero India 2023.

Of these, 633 are Indian exhibitors, and 98 are foreign exhibitors.

Aero India 2023 is being organized by the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Defence Exhibition Organisation (DEO), Government of India, Department of Defence Production, and Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) in association with the Indian Air Force (IAF), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL).

    • 9.30 AM – 9.40 AM: Inaugural Flypast
    • 9.41 AM – 12.00 PM: Flying Display
    • 12:00 PM – 17:00 PM: Customer Demonstration Flight (CDF)
  • 14th & 15th Feb (Tuesday and Wednesday)
    • 9.30 AM – 12.00 PM: Customer Demonstration Flight (CDF)
    • 12.01 AM – 14.30 PM: Flying Display
    • 14:31 PM – 17:00 PM: Customer Demonstration Flight (CDF)
  • 16th & 17th Feb (Thursday and Friday)
    • 9.30 AM – 12.00 PM: Flying Display
    • 12.01 AM – 14.00 PM: Customer Demonstration Flight (CDF)
    • 14:01 PM – 17:00 PM: Flying Display

Note:

  • Changes in the program, if any, will be intimated to all
  • Other Aircraft will not be permitted during the Flying Display/Practice
  • All timings are in IST (UTC + 05:30 HRS)

Aero India 2023: Ban on Sale of Non-veg Food

  • BBMP has ordered the closure of non-vegetarian hotels, meat stands, and restaurants within 10KM of the Yelahanka Air Force Station
  • This prohibition is to prevent scavenging birds, which could cause accidents
  • Failing to adhere to the ban will result in severe punishment
