Spread over 22 acres, this famous park in Bangalore is situated within the parade ground flanked by MG Road and Cubbon Road.
Established in 1996 to honor Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa, a veteran of the Indian Army, the park features a small waterfall and pond that attracts numerous birds.
Maintained by various divisions of the Army, the garden contains around 3,000 species of native and foreign plants and trees.

By Metro: The easiest way is through the metro. Get down at Mahatma Gandhi Road metro station and from there, it’s just a 13 mins walking path.
By Train: If you decide to travel by train, take a train to Bangalore City Railway Station. From there the park is only 5 km. From outside the station, take a cab for the rest of the journey.

Situated in the heart of Bangalore as part of the Parade Grounds on M.G Road, the 22-acre memorial park was established in 1996 by the Indian Army to honor Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa, who served in the Indian Armed Forces.
The Army continues to maintain the park.
What makes the park unique is its games and play areas with military themes that help children improve their physical and mental abilities while having fun.
At the entrance is a 7-foot-tall monolith statue of F.M. Cariappa.
The park has six parts, including a bandstand where six military bands perform fortnightly for visitors seated on the lush green grass.
Other attractions include a Tarzan swing, zigzag tunnels, a Burma bridge, spider webs, a manned waterfall, sand pits, ponds, and balance bars – challenging for toddlers but a treat for adventure-loving kids.
The 1.8 km long walkway paved with cobblestones meanders through the eco-friendly park’s large collection of over 3,000 indigenous and imported plant species.
The park is maintained without pesticides or insecticides, offering visitors a breath of fresh, unpolluted air amid Bangalore’s busy IT hub.
