I build things, then I explain how they work.
I'm Tariq Sallam, a marketing consultant, entrepreneur and content creator. Most of what I know about marketing came from building websites and publications of my own, watching what actually brought people in, and fixing what didn't.
That's the perspective I bring to client work: fewer theories, more decisions you can act on this month.
The story
Starting with the build
My first real marketing education was a website that nobody visited. Learning why is what turned an interest into a profession, search, content, positioning and the unglamorous technical work underneath all of it.
Digital publishing
Running a city guide platform meant publishing at volume: content structures, internal linking, page speed, editorial workflow, and the audience habits that decide whether any of it gets read. Publishing teaches marketing faster than campaigns do.
Consulting
Businesses rarely need everything. They need to know what to do next, in what order, and what to leave alone. That's most of what I do now, strategy that ends in a short list rather than a deck.
Teaching
I write and publish because explaining something is the fastest way to find the gaps in your own understanding, and because most business owners are one clear explanation away from making a better decision. Teach first, sell second.
How I work
Five principles that decide most of what I recommend.
