My verdict
Descript changed how I edit spoken content. Deleting a bad answer by selecting text takes seconds, and removing every filler word in one action turns an unrehearsed recording into something publishable.
It is specifically for spoken-word content. For anything with effects, colour grading or complex composition, use a real timeline editor, and Resolve is free.
The clip generation deserves attention if you record long-form anything. One podcast episode produces a week of social content with captions already burned in.
