What it is
Kinsta is managed WordPress hosting built on Google Cloud's premium network. You pay for infrastructure, server-level caching, staging environments and support that understands WordPress.
Managed hosting means the host takes responsibility for the parts that usually become your problem: server configuration, caching, security patching and backups.
It is where I put client sites that generate enquiries, and the reason is almost entirely support and reliability rather than raw speed.
What it does
Server-level caching is faster than any plugin, and it means you can remove a caching plugin from the site entirely, which is one fewer thing to break.
One-click staging is the feature that changes how you work. You test a plugin update on a copy, confirm nothing broke, then push it live.
Daily automated backups with self-service restore mean a bad update is a five-minute problem rather than a crisis.
Support is the real product. When something is genuinely broken, you get somebody who knows WordPress rather than a script, and that difference is worth more than any performance benchmark.

My verdict
Kinsta is the hosting I recommend when the site matters. Not because it wins benchmarks, though it performs well, but because the combination of staging, restorable backups and knowledgeable support turns maintenance from a risk into a routine.
The price is real and so is the value. If your site produces enquiries worth hundreds or thousands a month, paying £30 instead of £8 to remove a category of problem is straightforward arithmetic.
If your site has no traffic and no revenue, this is not the time. Start cheaper and move here when there is something to protect.
