What it is
Leadpages is a landing page and conversion tool: pages, pop-ups, alert bars and simple sites, built and hosted independently of your main website.
Its templates are ranked by conversion performance across their user base, which is a more useful sorting criterion than how they look.
It is aimed at marketers running campaigns rather than at people building websites.
What it does
Page building with a drag-and-drop editor and a large template library, publishing to their domain or yours.
Pop-ups and alert bars that work on your existing site, including WordPress, which is often the quickest conversion win available.
A/B testing on pages to find what converts, which is the feature that separates a real conversion tool from a page builder.
Lead capture with integrations to email platforms and CRMs, plus simple payment collection for low-friction sales.

| PLAN | WHAT YOU GET | WORTH IT FOR |
|---|---|---|
| Free trial | Full access for a limited period. | Testing. |
| Standard | Pages, pop-ups, one site. | Occasional campaigns. |
| Pro | A/B testing, payments, more sites. | The tier worth buying. |
| Advanced | Sub-accounts and priority support. | Agencies. |
Priced monthly, with A/B testing on the Pro tier. Only worth it if you build pages often enough to use it.
The Pro tier during an active campaign period, because A/B testing is the reason to use a dedicated tool. Cancel between campaigns.

My verdict
Leadpages does one thing well: getting a page that converts live quickly, without involving your website. For a marketer running monthly campaigns, that speed and the A/B testing justify the subscription.
For most small businesses it is unnecessary. Your email platform almost certainly includes landing pages, and a well-built site can host a campaign page in an afternoon.
The pop-up tooling is the underrated part. Adding a well-targeted pop-up to an existing site is frequently the cheapest conversion improvement available, and this does it properly.
