In plain English
A strategy is a set of choices about where to compete and what to decline. A list of channels with monthly activity beside each is a plan, and a plan without the choices behind it is just a calendar.
The test is whether the document says no to anything. If everything is included, no strategic decision was made.
What to know
Why it matters
Most marketing underperformance is a prioritisation failure rather than an execution failure. A strategy that names three things and declines the rest outperforms one that lists twelve and resources none of them properly.
Common mistakes
FAQs
