In plain English
A stack is not a list of subscriptions. It is a list plus the connections, and the connections are where the value or the pain lives.
A minimum viable stack is small: somewhere to publish, somewhere to email, somewhere to measure, somewhere to record customers. Most complexity beyond that is optional and most of it is unused.
What to know
Why it matters
The stack decides what marketing is capable of. A business whose email platform cannot see purchase history cannot personalise, however good its strategy, and no amount of campaign work fixes that.
