What Is Agentic AI?

Agentic AI describes systems that plan, act and adapt across multiple steps rather than responding to one instruction at a time.

In plain English

The distinguishing property is initiative within a task: deciding what to do next, using a tool, checking the result, adjusting. Not merely producing output on request.
