It all started with Candice, affectionately nicknamed “Chinita” in New York salsa clubs.
She wasn’t just content with reading recipes or watching cooking shows.
Nope, she packed her bags and went on a full-blown food pilgrimage across Mexico.
From the bustling streets of Mexico City to the earthy flavors of Oaxaca and the coastal charm of Zihuatanejo, she absorbed everything, recipes, techniques, and even a fondness for cactus (yes, they actually cook with it).
Alongside her were Sameer and Amit, fellow food lovers who didn’t just want to eat Mexican food; they wanted to bring it home.
Sameer, the business brain, was already such a burrito fan that he once lived off them for five days straight.
Amit, the design genius, practically lived in the Mexican district of San Francisco and now makes sure Chinita looks as inviting as it tastes.
Together, they returned to India and took the plunge.
